Eastern Karbi Anglong College, a leading higher educational Institution of the eastern part of Karbi Anglong district, was established in 1997 at Sarihajan at theunstinting initiative and generous contribution of the local public. The noble attempt to establish this college was made in 1997 itself with the convening of a public meeting on 6th July 1997 at Sarihajan PWD Rest House under the Presidenship of Mr. Humsing Bey, the then E.M. i/c Edn.
